12/14/2015 Clay Shoot Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to assist at the Tommy Todd Memorial/NU-HOPE Clay Shoot being held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Square One Sporting Clays Club in Lake Placid. Volunteers are needed to serve as trappers (push a button to release the clays)and to record the scores on the shooter's score cards. The duties are not complicated, and pre-training can be provided to anyone who is interested. It is a great morning of fun, and all volunteers are invited to join us for our steak and swamp cabbage grilled lunch (our thanks for your hard work!) If you like people, please consider taking a shift working the front office at the chamber. Duties include greeting guests, answering phones, stuffing envelopes..etc. We need people for three hour shifts, 9 to Noon and Noon to 4pm, Monday through Friday. The Calusa District Boy Scouts of America is currently looking for volunteers to help in a variety of ways. We need district committee members to help guide the district, district commissioners to work with the Cub Scout Packs and Boy Scout Troops, and help with committees for our District Friends of Scouting Dinner, Boy Scout Shred Event, District Camping Events and many more.
