Promise Acres is operated by Jennifer Carnahan with the assistance of her family: Husband - Richard, and Daughters - Ashlee and Meghan. Volunteers are also greatly appreciated. Jennifer has 20+ years experience in helping animals. She has managed a Humane Society Shelter, worked as a Veterinarian Technician, is a Certified Riding Instructor. Her compassion is the driving force of Promise Acres. The cost and care of each animal brought into Promise Acres is primarily absorbed by Jennifer and her family. Donations when given are used to help with additional expenses and improvements. Sales of un-needed tack and supplies are also used to help offset the cost of each horses rehabilitation. By helping one horse at a time, Promise Acres can not solve the problem of over population, neglect, abuse, or abandonment. However we can make a difference in the life of each horse we take in and the people whose story it touches.

Promise Acres is an equine rescue, rehab, and rehoming facility. Our goal is to improve the well being of the horses that enter our gates and to educate the youth of today to become better people of tomorrow thereby helping to end the cycle of abuse.
