Big Brothers Needed! |
|
|
Right now Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters has over 100 boys waiting for a role model. Many of them live right in your community. There is no shortage of boys wanting and needing a Big Brother but there is a real shortage of men. We are calling for you, to step up and become a Big Brother. You can also be a Big with your wife or your entire family. Take action today. Become a Big Brother, Big Couple Match or a Family Match to a boy.
Below is the real story of a Boy waiting for a Big right now:
Meet Travis. He is an 8-year-old who attends the second grade in Prescott. Travis is being raised by his mother and has an older sister.
Travis loves being outside and enjoys soccer, camping, bowling, riding his bike and cooking. He said that he wants to be a good citizen and would like to be a soldier or policeman when he grows up.
Travis is very excited at the thought of having a Big Brother and wants his future Big to know that he is fun to be with and likes to bowl.
You don't have to change your life to change the life of a child like Travis. Just a few hours a couple of times a month is enough to make a difference. You can also be a Big as a Couple Match or with your whole family as a Family Match. Research shows that kids matched with a "Big" are, on average, 40 percent less likely to get arrested compared to all other kids their age.
Call 778-5135 or go to www.azbigs.org for more information on how you can help change a child's life...
Fundamentally. For the better. Forever
