Who Are We?
Let's Play Marbles, Inc. is a program in Colorado that teaches kids the old playground games of marbles. It was started by a father daughter team and is run completely by volunteers. We teach children ages 2-14 how to be a good sport in games and in life. They learn the history of marbles, marbles collecting and are encouraged to close the gap between their generation and their parents' and grandparents' generations by bringing an almost forgotten game back into existence. We also coach kids in the competitive game of Ringer. They learn skills, sportsmanship and the dedication of becoming a state and national competitor. Local, state and national tournaments are held each year. Kids from Mesa County and other counties in Colorado have won over 30 state championships, five national championships and numerous best sport awards. Kids who compete in the national tournament in New Jersey earn college scholarships if they win the national championship or national best sport award. Most importantly, they learn life long lessons in sportsmanship and dedication.
