Child Advocate |
|
|
CASA volunteers speak out for abused and neglected children in the court system. The volunteer will visit the child at least once a month in the foster home, visit with family, professionals, and court officials regarding the child's case, and make recommendations to the circuit judge regarding the child's placement and well-being.
Requires at least 8-10 hours a month, and compassion toward children and families. Must be at least 21 years old. |

Kids-N-Court Volunteer Opportunities |

Kids' Harbor Too is looking for volunteers to assist with our new Kids-N-Court program; it is designed to prepare children (ages 3 and older) for the court process and offers a fun, supportive, and educational opportunity to explore the court room and learn the key role's of court personnel. Sessions will be held approximately three times annually and Kids' Harbor Too is looking for volunteers to help support children during these two hour sessions.

Gravesite Restoration |

We need individuals willing to assist with restoring a rock border on a gravesite. The rocks need to be gently cleaned and the border rebuilt. The area around the site will need to be cleared and cleaned. There may also be some digging to replace signage properly. |

Fundraiser volunteers make themselves available to support various Snack in a Pack fundraising events in numerous ways, including holding their own fundraisers and food drives. Some fundraiser volunteers bake goodies at home for Bake Sales, while others volunteer their time at specific fundraising events, and some others do behind the scene work. Snack in a Pack is happy to accept your help in any way!

Tote Retrievers |

Tote Retrievers are responsible for collecting empty totes from designated schools and returning the totes to the Waynesville VISTA office located in Williams Elementary in the Gym at 12225 Pulaski Ave., Fort Leonard Wood (FLW). Tote Retrievers may return totes Monday or Tuesday between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. All totes must be returned no later than 2:00 pm Wednesday. |

Tote Distributors |

Tote distributors pick up the packed totes from the Waynesville VISTA office located in Williams Elementary in the Gym at 12225 Pulaski Ave., Fort Leonard Wood (FLW) each Friday morning (or predetermined Distribution Day) between 8:30 am and 9:00 am. They deliver totes directly to designated schools. Tote distributors need a reliable vehicle and a partner to help carry the heavy totes. |

Packers meet every Thursday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Waynesville VISTA office located in Williams Elementary in the Gym at 12225 Pulaski Ave., Fort Leonard Wood (FLW). Packers fluff and fill the bags with food that are delivered to each student. Even students can help out with packing! |

Inventory Assistants work with the Snack in a Pack Project Manager, helping to unload all purchases from vehicles and placing all food items on shelves. Inventory is re-stocked one Wednesday per month. |

Community Relations and Special Event volunteers provide a variety of support through, setting up and staffing informational booths at various community events, distributing material and answering questions about programs and needs, pre-event planning,registration, greeting guests, soliciting donations, post-event cleanup, etc.
Volunteers must be 18 years of age and must pass a criminal record and reference check.
Training is required and provided.
There are many rewarding benefits to volunteering your time, knowledge, and compassion to those in need.
