The 4Cs Core Program provides at no cost, “gently-used” clothing, new underwear and socks, an a voucher towards the cost of new school shoes. The donated clothing is collected weekly from bins that are located at 11 schools in Martin County. Additional clothing is collected from individuals and group clothing drives, as well as several children’s consignment shops. Qualified children receive vouchers from over 65 local schools and social service agencies. In addition we have a literacy program for the children who come into the store, as well as a “Reading on Wheels” program to outreach to over 200 children in need of assistance in reading skills at four local elementary schools.

The mission of Caring Children/Clothing Children, Inc. is provide clothing, new socks, underwear and shoes, as well as reading intervention and literacy materials, at no cost to children in need in Martin County. The vision is for the children we served to have increased self esteem, to feel better about school and have increased reading skills.
