Guardians For New Futures (GFNF) supports abused and neglected children and volunteers who advocate for their best interest. GFNF's mission includes increasing awareness with regard to the number of children who are maltreated and how individuals can help to protect children from further harm. GFNF has made great strides in advocating for children on the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee through public awareness and training. GFNF conducts free workshops on the Treasure Coast on how to recognize and report abuse and neglect and other topics to further protect our children. Sessions have also included: Domestic Violence, Drugs, Cyber Bullying, Social Networking, Gangs, Eating Disorders, ADHD/PTSD, Behaviors of Sexually Abused Children, Drug Endangered Children and Preventing Teen Suicide. GFNF also hosts an annual child focused conference here on the Treasure Coast. GFNF has provided training to over 100 community organizations in just two years and continues to develop outreach and additional partnerships within our community.
