Our congregation was established in 1944 by Ken & Edith Wilson in Rifle, CO. Originally we met in E.R. & Lucille Andersons home. Our first building was purchased in about 1949. We expanded to our current location in 1974. There was an addition built onto the building in 1978. However the church is not the building, the church is the people!! As followers of Jesus we meet together to worship God, to pray, to study from His word, to take communion together, and to fellowship like the New Testament church did. We are just sinners trying to get it right. We are learning how to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength as well as learning how to love one another. We don't always get it right, but we are committed to trying. We would love for you to come join us on this journey!

It is primarily a plea for religious unity based upon the Bible. In a divided religious world it is believed that the Bible is the only possible common denominator upon which most, if not all, of the God-fearing people of the land can unite. This is an appeal to go back to the Bible. It is a plea to speak where the Bible speaks and to remain silent where the Bible is silent in all matters that pertain to religion. It further emphasizes that in everything religious there must be a "Thus saith the Lord" for all that is done. The objective is religious unity of all believers in Christ. The basis is the New Testament. The method is the restoration of New Testament Christianity.
