Who Are We?
House of Refuge is a faith-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is providing transitional housing and supportive services to homeless families. House of Refuge is not only a transitional program, but also a social services and work program. Experienced staff are here to assist every participant in the successful transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Since 1996, House of Refuge has served over 6,000 people, or roughly 2,400 families, and is one of the largest transitional housing facilities in Arizona. Situated on nearly 20 acres in Southeast Mesa, our program offers 81 two-bedroom single family homes and a chapel/support center which allows us to provide a stable, family-friendly environment to program participants. On any given day approximately 100 adults and 150 children call House of Refuge âhome.â Many come from a history of domestic violence and children often are the innocent victims. To us, a safe home and community is vital.
House of Refuge is a faith-based, non-profit organization helping homeless families in crisis by providing transitional housing and supportive services that assist participants as they strive towards self-sufficiency and seek to obtain permanent housing.
