HOV is the largest and the oldest mot-for-profit hospice in the United States. Hospice care is reimbursed by Medicare and most third party insurance companies. Because Hospice of the Valley is not-for-profit, all patients regardless of whether they have insurance or their ability to pay are cared for. Children, adults and seniors are all eligible if they have a prognosis of approximately six months or less if their illness takes its normal course.
