Please contact: Fritzi Mevis 928-445-2480 ppwc@cableone.net Who Are We?
There is an enrollment process for clients who we refer to as our Neighbors and entails a phone interview and a home visit. The following assistance is provided free of charge: Door through Door Escort assistance with transportation to essential appointment (primarily healthcare); grocerty shopping; personal paperwork and caregiver relief. Helping to alleviate loneliness and isolation, volunteers visit clients in their home and make reassuring phone calls during the week. Home Safety Visits are offered and encouraged for all of our clients.
An Information/New Volunteer Orientation is held every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 10 am to Noon and individual orientation meetings are always available.
Our Mission
People Who Care provides caring non-medical volunteer assistance for adults who are not able to drive because of physical limitations in order for them to continue living independentlyin their own homes and community.
