Who Are We?
When George Phippen, co-founder and first President of the Cowboy Artists of America and the museum’s namesake, died in 1966, his artwork and inspirational character encouraged his friends and fellow artists to work toward creating a facility that honored his memory and specifically represented artists of the American West. Forty-seven years later, the Phippen Museum has become a world class art institution, offering permanent and visiting exhibits that include the Solon H. Borglum Collection, the Arizona Rancher & Cowboy Hall of Fame, the artwork and studio replicas of Ray Swanson CA and George Phippen CA and a Western Heritage Gallery. Youth workshops, artist conversations and other art programs are offered to enhance each exhibit and provide exciting educational opportunities for visitors and members alike. For more information or a current exhibit schedule, please visit their website at www.phippenartmuseum.org.

Our Mission
To preserve and exhibit museum quality Western Art and educate the public about the unique heritage, history, legends and influence of art of the American West.
