Catholic Charities

Providing help. Creating hope. Serving all. It is what we do. We have been doing it in Arizona for more than 75 years. What began in 1933 to advocate for children and to serve people suffering through the Great Depression, has expanded to an array of programs serving our most vulnerable residents throughout Central and Northern Arizona. We reach out to thousands of people, regardless of their race, ethnicity, economic status, or religious affiliation, to: ■Protect and nurture children ■Strengthen and reunify families ■Help the impoverished

Honor Flight Arizona

Honor Flight AZ receives no government funding. We run 100% on community donations. The cost of sending one veteran is $900 for a 3-day trip. Since 2009, we have flown 550 WWII veterans to experience their memorial, 43 from the quad-city area. Over 95% of our donations go toward flying our veterans. Our waiting list is currently over 1 year long. The average age of our veterans is 90 years old and they are passing away at 1500/day nationally. We also use volunteers to support our vets on our trips (volunteers pay their own way - $900 - to travel with us), assist with fund raising in community events, help at the PHX airport, assist at reunion luncheons and more!
