'Tis Art Center and Gallery

The center’s two galleries feature a rotating selection of Fine Art paintings, sculpture, jewelry and wearable art, all by Prescott area artists. The third floor banquet hall, with its spectacular view of the courthouse plaza is ideal for wedding receptions and other black-tie affairs. It is also available for educational meetings, fundraisers, artist workshops, theater and dance performances. Boys To Men North Central Arizona

Boys to Men Mentoring Network is a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation created to guide boys 13-17 years of age through their passage to manhood. We provide boys with group mentoring and modeling so that they learn integrity, accountability, compassion and respect. We help boys develop responsibility and guide them toward healthy manhood. Our program has five components: * A workshop for new staff to prepare them for mentoring teenage boys. * A Rites of Passage Adventure Weekend that supports the boys in bringing out their feelings in a safe way and learning what it means to be a man, and for many is a turning point experience. * On-going twice monthly group mentoring that deepens the bonds and commitments declared out of the Weekend. * School Based Mentoring where our trained mentors meet weekly in a group setting with select students to apply the Boys to Men principles of Listen, Accept, and Encourage. * Family Support to strengthen and deepen relationships with families involved with our mentoring services.

Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary

Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary is a non-profit wildlife sanctuary, dedicated to the conservation and protection of native and exotic animals. Located in scenic Prescott, Arizona, the sanctuary provides a source of recreation, education and entertainment for all ages. With the mission of "Conservation through Education," Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary provides a unique and up-close experience with animals visitors may see nowhere else. Animals at Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary all have a story and lesson to teach. Situated on ten acres north of Prescott and overlooking Willow Lake, the sanctuary has many opportunities for visitors including a covered picnic pavilion, a children’s playground, and large, naturally landscaped enclosures for the animals with paths that allow visitors the opportunity to get an up-close and personal view of them. One of the most interesting exhibits, and one which is unique to the Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary, is the Tarantula Grotto. There are also two interactive enclosures: Wallaby Walk-About and Kiwanis Korner Animal Encounter.

Highlands Center for Natural History

The Highlands Center for Natural History is a regional non-profit nature center that is dedicated to cultivating in both children and adults a sense of wonder about and knowledge of our unique Central Arizona Highlands. Our 80 acre campus is operated under a Special Use Permit with Prescott National Forest and is located on Walker Road near Lynx Lake. On-site youth programs include school field trips for second and fourth graders, Saturday morning nature clubs and summer and school break day camps. Adult programs feature a Nature Study Series, naturalist and docent training courses, semi-annual native plants sales, and the spring Birding and fall Hiking Sprees. Off-site we facilitate a schoolyard habitat program, funded through a fall tax credit appeal, that establishes native plant gardens and multi-grade science curricula at elementary schools in our Quad Cities. Supported principally by member contributions and staffed in great part by volunteers, we collaborate with other organizations (educational, environmental, and community based) and offer a beautiful natural environment where hiking and experiential education opportunities abound. Our campus and the James Learning Center model sustainable building techniques and a future Arboretum will highlight area flora!

New Horizons Disability Empowerment Center

Founded in 1992, New Horizons is a non-residential nonprofit that promotes dignity, equality, inclusion and independence through advocacy and services for persons of all ages and types of disabilities. For New Horizon clients, the programs and services offered are not merely conveniences, they are life-changing. Our nonprofit assists individuals to go from unemployed to employable; from existing to coping; from helpless to helpful. These programs and services include: independent living skills training; accessible transportation; mentoring/support groups; information and referral; employment assistance, a durable medical equipment exchange program and much more.

Prescott Alternative Transportation

Prescott Alternative Transportation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Prescott, AZ and serving the central Yavapai community. We act as the voice for those who cannot or choose not to drive a car to every destination, whether for health, environmental, or financial reasons. Through education and advocacy, PAT has been guiding the Prescott area towards a future with safe and convenient transportation options since 1997. We sponsor "Safe Routes to School" the "Walking School Bus" and other health and safety education for school children.

Prescott College

With a student body of approximately 1,000, and an average student to faculty ratio of 8:1 in on-campus courses, Prescott College’s four distinct degree completion pathways are: the On-campus Undergraduate Program, and limited-residency undergraduate, Master of Arts, and Ph.D. programs. The College has been an economic engine in our community and Yavapai County for 50 years. For example, using a local contractor, we built and opened student housing that can accommodate 104 students, and we continue to improve and bring people to our campus. Of note: The impacts of our alumni who continue to work in the region and expand the economy through their added skills and increased productivity. We have 12,144 graduates and former students in our database with 4,596, or 38 percent, living and working in Arizona. Of that group, 1,036 or 8.5 percent are residents of Yavapai County.

Our experiences are designed to build trust, communication & cooperation skills, and promote self-discovery & growth. Programs include climbing, backpacking, water sports, and wilderness medicine.

U.S.VETS

United States Veterans Initiative (U.S.VETS) is the nation’s largest nonprofit provider of comprehensive services to homeless and at-risk veterans. With 11 facilities in six states and the District of Columbia, U.S.VETS provides vital services such as case management, employment assistance, job placement, counseling, as well as drug- and alcohol-free housing to over 3,000 veterans each day. U.S.VETS - Prescott opened in 2003 at the historic Fort Whipple VA Medical Center and serves over 65 veterans and veteran families every day.

Yavapai College Foundation

Welcome to the Yavapai College Foundation (YCF). We are your friends, neighbors, and community members, working together to support Yavapai College, impact the future, and provide economic development and opportunity for all of us in Yavapai County. Through the Foundation, we actively pursue excellence, opportunity, and access in education with financial support for students, development support for faculty, and program support for Yavapai College. The Foundation pursues and welcomes private donations to bridge the ever-increasing gap between public funding and student needs.

Yavapai County Community Foundation

The Yavapai County Community Foundation is an endowment organization that connects community needs to donors who have a passion for meeting those needs. We are an affiliate of the statewide Arizona Community Foundation and we serve Yavapai County. Since our inception in 1993, YCCF has developed 64 separate funds with assets in excess of $23 million. Over the past decade, YCCF in partnership with ACF has awarded some $5.3 million to Yavapai County nonprofit organizations, schools and municipalities serving local needs. People don’t give money to the Yavapai County Community Foundation they give to our community through us. We pride ourselves in being an endowment organization. We are conveners, connectors, educators, grant makers and we identify community needs.
