The Palm Desert Visitor Center is dedicated to providing the highest level of service to visitors and residents alike. Our volunteers assist in that mission by providing information on local attractions, businesses, hotels and restaurants. They also answer questions and provide directions, and direct visitors to the available literature and brochures we have on display. The retail component of the Visitor Center stocks souvenirs, Palm Desert apparel, books, maps and more. This retail function assists in the promotion of the Palm Desert brand and helps to increase exposure for the City while contributing revenue to the general fund. Volunteers are asked to assist visitors in finding merchandise that meets their particular needs.

The Palm Desert Visitor Center's mission is to support our city’s tourism industry and its largest revenue sources: sales tax and hotel bed tax. Through our efforts to work closely with local business, we promote Palm Desert hotels, retailers, attractions, activities and events that attract visitors to our community.
