Coachella Valley Rescue Mission
Since 1971, Coachella Valley Rescue Mission has been an oasis, a place of refuge for the homeless and needy in our valley. We are a safe haven, a place of rest for the weary and a place where daily physical and spiritual needs may be met. Over the years the mission has continued to meet the ever growing needs of individuals, who for a variety of reasons have found themselves without the basic necessities of life. A dedicated staff and volunteers serve more than 300,000 hot meals annually and provide shelter to thousands of men and women with children. Food, clothing, and showers are also provided for those who do not shelter with us.

Desert AIDS Project
Desert AIDS Project has earned a national reputation as one of the most comprehensive HIV/AIDS services providers in the U.S. We are one of only a handful of agencies operating an on-site medical clinic, a full range of client support services, and a comprehensive HIV education and prevention program, including free and confidential HIV testing.

Desert Cancer Foundation
Desert Cancer Foundation was founded more than a decade ago to pay for treatment of cancer patients who lack insurance or sufficient funds to pay for their medical care. Desert Cancer Foundation works with the support of local healthcare professionals. Program applicants are individually reviewed by a patient assistance committee, which includes volunteer medical professionals, medical social workers and a medical financial counselor. The primary consideration for acceptance in the Desert Cancer Foundation program is a demonstrated need for financial assistance to obtain local cancer treatment. Since inception, Desert Cancer Foundation has paid for cancer related screening, diagnosis and treatment valued at more than 45.4 million dollars. Desert Cancer Foundation serves residents of all ages and ethnic groups in the Coachella Valley and surrounding areas. Family YMCA of the Desert
The Family YMCA of the Desert is the largest provider of licensed childcare in the valley, with facilities from Palm Springs to Mecca. We began services in 1982 and today we serve over 3,500 kids and families each day at forty two sites, with many opportunities in youth and family programming. The primary focus of the Family YMCA is to reinforce caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility while allowing kids to develop social skills, confidence, leadership, and fitness. Programming at the Y includes after-school care, computer math tutoring, basketball and flag football, sports and fitness, Youth and Government Program, karate, swimming, and Y Rookies Sports Leagues. More than one fourth of the children participating in the Y programs receive financial assistance, making community support a vital element in the ability to offer help to kids and their families. Eight years ago, special partnerships between the Family YMCA of the Desert and various local elementary and middle schools within all three valley school districts were launched to provide free, on-site after school care as part of the state of California's recently enacted Proposition 49 / After School Education and Safety (ASES) Act. Today, these efforts continue with program growth in the Palm Springs Unified School District to all 21 school sites. We are proud to mention our collaborations with local community organizations who, in part, share many of the same goals of the Y. To date we have enjoyed partnerships with Hidden Harvest, Desert Healthcare District, Coachella Valley Housing Coalition, Hope through Housing and F.I.N.D. food bank. These are just a few of our friends we work with that have the same values and objectives similar to the Y. At the Y, child participation is considered foremost where we focus on Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. Jim Latting of Roemer Harnik law firm serves as President of the Board of Directors and Rob Ballew is the Executive Director. The Family YMCA of the Desert is part of the largest community service organization in the US where 2700 Ys work to provide programs that focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

Habitat for Humanity of the Coachella Valley
As a Christian housing ministry, we build and repair homes providing safe, affordable housing for the low-income. Supported through generous donations, volunteers and our ReStore.

HARC, Inc.
HARC, Inc. conducts a triennial random-digit-dial (RDD) telephone health survey of more than two thousand households in Coachella Valley. This data provides unbiased, statistically reliable data on a multitude of health concerns across the region. Findings are released every three years (2007, 2010, 2013). HARC also offers custom research services to local organizations. We offer a variety of research services, such as needs assessment, program evaluation, workplace wellness services, and logic model development, among others. Final products can include narrative reports, infographics, easy-to-read data tables and graphs, and both quantitative and qualitative research.

Independent Living Partnership/TRIP
TRIP for Riverside County California is a special self-directed, mileage reimbursement transportation service that complements public transportation by encouraging volunteer friends and neighbors to transport older adults and people with disabilities to access medical services and for other purposes where no transit service exists or when the individual is too frail, ill, or unable to use public transportation for other reasons. Every month TRIP helps hundreds of Coachella Valley residents get to doctors, get groceries and continue to live independently in their own homes.

Joslyn Center
The Joslyn Center promotes and strives to improve the quality of life for members through programs, activities, and social services. Founded in 1981, for 32 years, the Center has encouraged seniors in the area to lead active, stimulating and rewarding lives.Our 1800 vibrant and fun-loving members share a passion for life and learning. Each day Joslyn Center hosts between 250-400 persons and offers over 50 programs per week including: * Exercise * Entertainment * Education * Social services such as free tax and legal consultation * Caregiver support training * Hearing and vision testing *Creative & Performing Arts classes *Skill Building Classes in Computers & technology The Joslyn Center is dedicated to ending hunger and food instability for seniors. We serve approximately 1,250 Meals On Wheels each month and over 16,800 meals per year. Though our Penny’s Pantry we are providing non-perishable foods and fresh fruits and vegetables to an average of 140 residents in need each month.

Martha's Village & Kitchen
Martha's Village & Kitchen is one of the largest providers of homeless services in the Coachella Valley and Riverside County. Martha's began in 1990 when the founders served meals to their homeless neighbors. Today, from its campus in Indio, CA, Martha's Village offers unique life-changing programs based on the nationally-recognized "continuum of care model" breaking the cycle of homelessness. Through this gateway to hope, people regain their lives becoming responsible, self-sufficient and productive citizens, while passing on their newfound independence and life skills to their children and families. Changing one person's life, changes generations of lives. Vision We envision a community where all people have the opportunity to live to their full potential; where everyone has food, housing, healthcare, education and the means to maintain them.

Parkinson's Resource Organization
Parkinson'™s Resource Organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization est. 1990. PRO provides group and individual support to those making the journey through Parkinson'™s. Also offering a monthly newsletter "Newsworthy Notes," an interactive website including a virtual, one-click, resource directory called the WELLNESS VILLAGE. Funding for our programs comes primarily from donations by our members, donations to our monthly newsletters, and memorials and advertorial space in the WELLNESS VILLAGE, a perfect spot for a business or company that serves the Parkinson's world.
