4-H Youth Development Grant County

03/09/2015 Volunteer Mentor
Grant County 4-H has a unique opportunity for you to make a difference in a child's life. The 4-H Youth and Families with Promise program provides opportunities for caring adults to mentor youth ages 5-17 and for youth and their families to participate in fun 4-H activities that build life skills. Volunteer Mentors must have a desire to be personally involved with a young person and serve as a supportive role model. Mentors commit to an ongoing twelve month relationship with a youth, with a minimum of 1 contact per week or 4 per month. Volunteer mentors must be at least 16 years of age or older. Mentors can commit to at at least one youth or can mentor a group of 2-4 youth. Currently, this program will be offered in the communities near North Elementary School. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or learning more about this program, sign up here or contact Lauren Hrncirik at lauren.hrncirik@wsu.edu or 509-754-2011, Ext 4313
