Who Are We?
The Jackson County Historical Association is a not for profit organization formed in 1975 by a group of county citizens interested in local history. Annual membership dues are $20.00 Senior citizens (65+)and students dues are $15.00. A newsletter is published quarterly and sent to all members. Meetings are held quarterly at 2:00 pm on the last Sunday of January, April, July and October. The meetings are open to the public and consist of a business meeting and a program of historical interest.
The mission of the Jackson County Historical Association is to promote interest in and disseminate information about local history. The organization is active in preserving historical sites and placing historical markers to inform the public about the significance of these and other sites.
