Brighter Tomorrows provides continuous coverage in a 24 hour emergency shelter for women and their children who are fleeing abusive environments.
The agency provides case management services, safety plans, and information and referrals that will present them with new options for living a life free of abuse. Life skills, budgeting, and job search strategies are taught so clients can acquire the skills needed to become self-sufficient and independent of their abuser. Also offered are referrals for food stamps, medical and dental care, and employment. The Women's Outreach Center offers counseling services to families, women, and children for agency clients and non-residents alike since the effects of abuse can linger long after they have left our shelters. Crisis intervention and counseling help the client move beyond abuse. In the two-year transitional housing program, clients are given the opportunity to establish financial independence. Our Mission
The mission of Brighter Tomorrows is to reduce violence in our communities and empower victims of domestic and sexual violence by providing safe shelter and support services.
