07/01/2013 Volunteers for the 2013 Christmas Season!
Volunteers helped with stocking toys, packing toy and food boxes, cleaning and organizing, labeling delivery boxes, and distributing those boxes on delivery night. More than 1,000 volunteer hours were donated over the 2012 holiday season (approximately 15 days). A big thanks goes out to all of our wonderful volunteers! Once the 2013 holiday season hits, we will once again be asking for donations at the following locations: •Grand Prairie Fire Stations •Public Safety Building, 1525 Arkansas Lane •City Hall, 317 College St. •Main Library, 901 Conover Dr. •Warmack Branch Library, 760 Bardin Rd. •The Summit, 2975 Esplanade •Grand Prairie Credit Union, 209 N. Children First Counseling Center

Children First hosts two events per year that include auctions and raffle items. Large ticket items are needed for live auction in June and also in October. Raffle items of $25 value or more are needed at each of these events as well. In June, we can also use small items and advertising specialties to fill goodie bags for those participating in our charity golf tournament.

Children First Counseling Center

Children First is the beneficiary of an Annual Golf Tournament known as "Golfun". Many volunteer positions are available for this event before, during, and even after the event. Examples include: Pre-Event: stuffing goodie bags, assembling packets Event Day: raffle ticket sales, contest hole attendants Post-Event: help with thank you mailings.
