Who Are We?
AASK (Aid to Adoption of Special Kids) is a non-profit agency with over 25 years of experience finding relationships for children in the Arizona foster care system ensuring every child has someone who cares. Our commitment to families is to develop a partnership based on transparency, respect, and service. AASK has evolved over the years and created innovative programs to work with foster, kinship, and adoptive families to provide safe and loving homes. Volunteers mentor children living in group homes, and help reunite siblings separated by foster care. We have 3 locations in the valley and our staff, including bilingual employees, is responsive and available to provide consistent support, resources, and training every step of the way.

AASK Mentors provide a caring relationship to foster children living in group homes or shelters. Mentors are sometimes the only consistent adult in the youth's life as they move from placement to placement. Kids without a family or caring adult face grim prospects- mentors make a difference in a child's life today and for their future success! Mentors are required to make a one year commitment and connect with their mentee several times per month. Attend a free information session to take the next step to get involved. 75% of children in the foster care system who have a sibling are separated and living apart! AASK's Sibling volunteers facilitate sibling relationships by transporting brothers and sisters to monthly events. These siblings can interact during fun activities to maintain and strengthen their relationship. Sibling volunteers can also attend our annual summer camp where these kids spend a whole week together participating in fun outdoor activities. Attend a free information session to learn more.
