Who Are We?
Langs is a neighbourhood-based organization that has been providing a range of recreational, educational, social and health programs and services for all ages, for more than 35 years. Our vision is Ã¢ÂÂchanged lives, healthy communities.Ã¢ÂÂ Throughout its history the organization has consistently demonstrated an ability to effectively develop and implement a broad range of social, health, recreational and vocational programs and services. Langs currently operates the following components of service: Ã¢ÂÂ¢ Community Health Centre (CHC) Ã¢ÂÂ¢ North Dumfries CHC Satellite Ã¢ÂÂ¢ Waterloo Wellington Diabetes Regional Co-ordination Centre Ã¢ÂÂ¢ Community Diabetes Program, Waterloo Region - Ã¢ÂÂ¢ Early Years Satellite Centre Ã¢ÂÂ¢ Resource Centre Ã¢ÂÂ¢ Youth & Teen Community Centre Ã¢ÂÂ¢ Volunteer Opportunities Ã¢ÂÂ¢ Community Partnerships Ã¢ÂÂ Langs is located at 1145 Concession Road and is co-located with 25 health and social services. Our facility includes 7 group rooms, a gymnasium, a walking track and many environmental features such as a living weall and greens roofs. Langs is looking to recruit board members for their 2013/14 Board of Directors.
This could be an ideal position for you if:
- You are interested in learning more about Langs programs and services
- You live in the Cambridge or North Dumfries area
- You are available to volunteer up to 5-7 hours per month
