Community Services of Broomfield, Inc., d.b.a. FISH Inc., of Broomfield and Broomfield FISH, is a not-for-profit corporation, organized under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, serving residents of Broomfield County, Colorado. During the 2012 calendar year, we provided 346,866 pounds of food to 3,030 people.
Broomfield FISH has been serving residents of Broomfield, Colorado for fifty years. The organization began in 1963 providing transportation to medical appointments to members of the community. Community Services of Broomfield, Inc. was incorporated in 2001. Currently, FISH provides food and emergency financial assistance to residents who have experienced loss of job, divorce, death-in-the-family, incapacitation or death of the family breadwinner, and many other forms of family crisis.
We provide food and financial assistance to Broomfield County residents, when family income is 185% or less of the US Poverty Guidelines for family size. For qualified clients, Broomfield FISH provides food and financial assistance (subject to funds availability) for one-time rent, mortgage or utility payments. Broomfield FISH also assists a limited number of clients by providing tools they need to strengthen their financial situation: money management training, computer training, coaching and encouragement.
