"A No-Kill for Space Shelter" Our shelters goal is to find a permanent, loving home for all of our animals. We believe that we are the final hope for these animals and it is our obligation to do the best we can to rescue them from their unfortunate situation. We are dedicated to the protection of abused, unwanted, neglected and underappreciated animals. The Humane Society of Highlands County receives no government funding as we operate on 100% of your donations. Our organization rescues and provides medical care, treatment, food, shelter and most of all tender loving care for these animals until they are united with their forever homes and families.
