Who Are We?
Independent Living Preparation Program assists young adults in making a successful transition to self-sufficiency and independent living. The program gives young adults ages 16 to 21 a safe, supporting environment while they learn the skills necessary to succeed on their own. Children's Closet is a boutique that provides new and gently used items for pregnant and parenting caregivers. Through an application process, caregivers can obtain much needed clothes, diapers, etc. for children up to the age of five. Foster Grandparent Program provides people 55+ with an opportunity to act as role models, mentors and friends to children at schools, Head Start and day care centers and other youth facilities. They receive a tax-free stipend for serving between 15 and 40 hours per week. RSVP is America's largest volunteer network of people 55 and over. The volunteers provide a variety of services to meet community needs, including meal delivery to the homebound, support for food pantries, mentoring children and many more.
Volunteers of America, Dakotas is a nonprofit, spiritually based organization that reaches out to empower people of all ages to become healthier, self-sufficient, productive members of their communities.
