Aberdeen Area Community Foundation
Aberdeen Area Community Foundation, Inc. was chartered as Aberdeen Area Foundation, Inc. on April 23, 1984 to receive and administer a gift from a local businessman. The particulars of that first gift are lost to history, but true to its slogan, Looking Forward. Giving Back., AACF and its many contributors remain committed to the promotion and preservation of Aberdeen and the surrounding communities. AACF endows the gifts given to it and spends only a portion of the earnings from the endowment on worthy area projects. It is the perfect mechanism for individuals, organizations, companies and others to provide for their community future as their legacy. AACF is a stand-alone 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, but also enjoys a relationship with the South Dakota Community Foundation as a Community Savings Account

Aberdeen Public Schools Foundation, Inc.
The Aberdeen Public Schools Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3, nonprofit tax-exempt organization chartered in 1993. The organization is governed by a volunteer board of directors that share a vision of enhancing education in the Aberdeen K-12 School District. Our Foundation Goals: To raise funds to support excellence in education throughout the Aberdeen Public Schools not provided for by other resources. To promote and support worthy educational needs of the students, teachers and educational community through donations, gifts and grants. To inform alumni and friends of the Aberdeen Public Schools Foundation, Inc., of current activities and events throughout the Aberdeen School District. To foster enthusiasm in the classroom and rekindle the joy of learning.

Avera St. Luke's Foundation
The basis for our work is compassionate care through gifts, stewardship of their use, and growth of our regional health care. The role of Avera St. Luke's Foundation is one of encouraging and accepting gifts to supplement our programs. Through contributions, donors touch the lives of friends, family, neighbors and strangers when it is most needed. Gifts are used to support patient needs programs, special equipment and assistance that would otherwise no be affordable. Donations have provided life-saving medication, lodging to be near loved ones, transportation, educational programs and materials, and much more. We are Avera, and we work every day to live out our mission and make life better for those around us. Together, we are changing lives. DTOM22/0 Foundation
DTOM 22/0 is a nonprofit foundation dedicated to preventing veteran suicide. 22 of our nations heroes commit suicide every day! Many suffer from PTSD, TBI, Moral Injury and more due to extended combat tours over our nation’s longest war. These men and women have made great sacrifices for our country, but often return to America battling physical and mental wounds sustained during combat. Beyond that, the act of transitioning back to civilian life is a painful and difficult task. We are constantly learning more about PTSD and Moral Injury, their causes and treatment options. Here at DTOM 22/0 we are developing a comprehensive treatment plan based on available research using treatment plans to help veteran reintegrate into civilian society and reclaim their lives. We are currently in the start-up phase of building “The Ranch” a comprehensive treatment facility. Modeled after a Colorado lodge, the facility will house up to 30 veterans for up to 18 months and provided individual treatment plans for each vet. Giving Our Veterans a new start.

Hub Area Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) was founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller in Americus, GA. The concept was developed at Koinnonia Farms with home building beginning in 1968. Over 800,000 homes around the world have been built, rehabilitated, or repaired since it was founded. Habitat's reach extends to all 50 U.S. states and more than 70 countries around the world. After nearly four decades of building homes and helping 5 million people improve their housing situations, Habitat understands that adequate housing fundamentally transforms lives. Children gain a sense of security, have room to grow and can focus more on their education and dreams for the future. Since March 1984, when President Carter first donated his time and carpentry skills to Habitat, the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project (CWP) has been helping spread the message of Habitat for Humanity International around the world. The projects have taken thousands of other volunteers to house-building sites worldwide. Hub Area Habitat for Humanity is the Aberdeen area affiliate of HFHI and was founded in 1993. Hub Area HFH has built or renovated 12 homes, 11 of which are located on or near Ward Drive. Dr. Dick Ward was the first executive director followed by Peter Kirkpatrick. In the beginning, Hub Area Habitat for Humanity had difficulty finding suitable lots for home building. Consequently Hub Area Habitat for Humanity decided to purchase and develop land for Habitat homes. After the North Penn home was completed, Hub Area Habitat secured financing used to purchase and develop 14 lots on Ward Drive. Ten lots currently have Habitat homes with two additional lots having Governor's Houses.

Lutheran Social Services
Lutheran Social Services responds to changing needs in South Dakota communities. LSS touched the lives of South Dakotans more than 50,600 times this year with a variety of programs and services statewide. LSS is one of the largest private non-profit social service agencies in South Dakota and serves people of all ages, faiths, races and economic status with professional, confidential and affordable services.

United Way of Northeastern South Dakota
The mission of the United Way of Northeastern South Dakota is to provide support for programs in the health and human service fields which reflect the needs of the area. The United Way will raise funds and establish and evaluate priorities for the distribution of the funds raised.
