New Beginnings Center currently has 10 kids ages 14-17 that are residing there. Due to COVID, all of these kids have to stay at the center for the holidays, they cannot be home to be with their families. We are trying to give them a nice Christmas since they can't go anywhere. The Community Resource Program is in need of items for youth, ages 16-21 to live on their own. The following items are needed in order to be successful: -non-perishable food items such as Cereal, Pasta, canned foods and boxed food -laundry supplies -good used furniture such a mattresses, chairs and tables, sofas and coffee tables. -cookware and dishes -Small household appliances -bath mats, shower curtains and towels -bedding and pillows. Although you may not think this to be something we need; please note: there are many times that our ER and Emergency Response teams have to remove clothing articles or people arrive with out proper clothing for warmth after an accident. For that reason, we are asking for donations of items like sweatshirts, sweatpants, shirts, socks! Items that we can provide to the patients as needed. We keep these items in our ER and Social Work Departments for times of need. | |
