The Community Resource Program is in need of items for youth, ages 16-21 to live on their own. The following items are needed in order to be successful: -non-perishable food items such as Cereal, Pasta, canned foods and boxed food -laundry supplies -good used furniture such a mattresses, chairs and tables, sofas and coffee tables. -cookware and dishes -Small household appliances -bath mats, shower curtains and towels -bedding and pillows. Although you may not think this to be something we need; please note: there are many times that our ER and Emergency Response teams have to remove clothing articles or people arrive with out proper clothing for warmth after an accident. For that reason, we are asking for donations of items like sweatshirts, sweatpants, shirts, socks! Items that we can provide to the patients as needed. We keep these items in our ER and Social Work Departments for times of need. | |

This is a committee sponsored event in which 400 area 5th grade students attend to gain a greater understanding of the barriers, both structurally and attitudinal, that people with disabilities experience each day. The financial assistance would help to purchase T-shirts for all the students that attend the event. | |
