Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. The Cambridge Soroptimists join 1,300 Soroptimist clubs in 21 countries and territories around the world. The club’s ongoing projects include administering the Soroptimist Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards for Women®, which grants financial resources to women who serve as the primary wage earners for their families to improve their education, skills and employment prospects. The Live Your Dream Awards has disbursed almost $35 million in awards to tens of thousands of women since the award-winning program began in 1972. The club also provides local girls with tools to achieve their education and career goals through its Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls® program. Dream It, Be It has helped more than 35,000 girls since it launched in 2015.
