On June 25th from 5-8pm at the Museum of Natural History and Science, we will be hosting a fashion show fundraiser featuring our local kids fighting cancer. This event is put on in partnership with "Kasie Helpz Kidz". Because New Mexico has the second highest disparity rate in the nation in terms of number of kids with cancer compared to the assistance available to them, we are passionate about using our Super Heroes and Princesses Fashion Show to make a difference for our local kids.

Native American Professional Parent Resources, Inc. (NAPPR)is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. NAPPR, Inc. was founded in 1981 as a joint project between the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the New Mexico Department of Health to provide early intervention services to Native American families with young children experiencing developmental delays. Since that time NAPPR has established itself as an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and grown from serving approximately 30 families per year to over 400 families in a four-county area. Services provided now include Early Intervention, Tribal Home Visiting, Early Headstart, and support services for Indian Health Service-funded Dental Clinics. The NM Health Insurance Exchange named NAPPR as one of two navigator entities in NM. NAPPR will perform comprehensive outreach and education regarding new coverage options available through the Affordable Care Act in Native communities across the state, which is managed by our Healthcare Education & Outreach program. |

Special Spaces is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that creates "dream" bedrooms for children with life-threatening illnesses. These children are fighting battles that most of us can't imagine and we're all volunteering our time and some incredible talent to help to put a smile on these little faces. Unfortunately, there is never a shortage of sick children, so the challenge will always be to raise money for the next bedroom makeover. All donations to Special Spaces Albuquerque are used for the children in the Albuquerque Metro Area.
Special Spaces was founded on the precedent that children battling life-threatening illnesses need their own special space. This is a place of hope and inspiration, and a special space to find peace and comfort.
As of today, Special Spaces has created hundreds of bedrooms across the country. It is the vision of our organization to have a Special Spaces Director everywhere there is a child in need. |
