Armed Services YMCA of MO

The Armed Services YMCA of Missouri's goal is to serve our community by offering support and opportunities that empower our military families to learn, grow and thrive. Our free or low cost programs help strengthen young families as they learn to cope with the unique challenges of military life. We focus on programs that promote healthy living, social responsibility, and youth development. The ASYMCA works along with agencies such as

CASA of South Central Missouri

CASA of South Central Missouri provides advocacy for abused and neglected children in the 25th Judicial Circuit, which covers Phelps, Pulaski, Maries, and Texas Counties. We have an office right here in Pulaski County located at the Waynesville Courthouse on the 2nd floor across from the elevator. We would like to have a Court Appointed Special Advocate for every child by 2020

Kids' Harbor Too

Kids' Harbor Child Advocacy Center provides coordinated services for child abuse victims and their families in a warm, child-friendly atmosphere. These services include forensic interviews, forensic medical exams, counseling, and advocacy; all of which are designed to lessen the trauma experienced by the child. In this child-focused, child-friendly environment, representatives from many disciplines make decisions about the investigation, treatment, and prosecution of child abuse cases. All of our services are provided free of charge to children ages 0-18 years of age and are referred to us due to allegations of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, as well as physical and medical neglect, witnesses to violence and drug endangerment. Between our two centers in Osage Beach and St. Robert, MO we serve 10 counties in the state of Missouri, including the Fort Leonard Wood Military Base. On average 12-15% of our annual referrals are military dependents. Kids' Harbor adheres to the Child First Doctrine: The child is our first priority. Not the needs of the family, not the story, not the evidence, not the needs of the courts, not the needs of law enforcement, not the needs of children services, not the needs of attorneys. The child is our first priority.

Pulaski County Salvation Army Service Extension Unit

The Pulaski County Service Unit is a volunteer committee of local citizens and business and professional people who represent the Salvation Army in communities throughout Pulaski County. These local citizens and leaders in the community join together to provide assistance and support to those in need throughout the year. Our local service unit sponsors a Tree of Lights Campaign once a year between Thanksgiving and Christmas to raise money with which to support programs that run year round. Funds raised during this campaign, which is manned by unpaid volunteer bell ringers, provides the operating capital for the Pulaski County Service Unit to disperse to people unable to find help through other means. This includes welfare and health assistance. Additionally, our local unit works in concert with the Good Samaritan Resource Center to provide food baskets to needy families during the Christmas holidays, and provides a care package to each resident in all county nursing homes. The success of your service unit is readily apparent to those people in need we have helped financially and spiritually, as well as by the many volunteers who generously donate time and money in support of The Salvation Army programs in Pulaski County.
